Pollution Patrol Activity

SWE-RVA is pleased to share an engineering design activity that can be adapted to students of all ages. With the Pollution Patrol activity, students are environmental engineers and are challenged to locate the source of an environmental pollutant by systematically testing soil-water samples.

Below are two documents and a video link to accompany the activity. The Lesson Plan document contains information to assist the activity facilitator including the materials required. The Worksheet document is a handout to guide the students through the activity. The What is Engineering video is a great introduction to engineering for students.
