Angie Lilly - President
Angela Parsley – Vice President
Angela is a Virginia Tech alum. She worked as an industrial engineer in various manufacturing industries including shipbuilding, electronics, & pharmaceuticals before transitioning to roles in education. She is currently the STEM Coordinator for the Virginia Department of Transportation where she creates lessons and resources for students & teachers. She enjoys sharing her industry experience and love of STEM with students and educators. Whenever possible, she enjoys traveling with her family and always has home or sewing projects in process.
Crystal Hill – Treasurer
Crystal is a Senior Civil Engineer with Mason & Hanger. She has over 20 years of experience in the design of drainage systems, stormwater management facilities, roadways, erosion and sediment control, utilities and site development. Her experience spans through governmental, institutional, commercial, industrial and residential markets. She received her B.S. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1999. She enjoys reading and trips to the mountains of southwest Virginia.
Sarah Bettinger P.E. - Secretary
Sarah is a Structural Engineer with Austin Brockenbrough and Associates, working on the design of both civic structures in Virginia and international aviation fuel systems. Sarah holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, a M.S.C.E. from the University of Alabama-Birmingham, and a B.S. in physics from Rhodes College. She loves skiing and going places she's never been.
Melissa Peskin, P.E. – Scholarship Chair
Melissa is an Electrical Engineer specializing in power systems at Dominion Energy. She maintains the electric distribution model of Dominion facilities, using engineering, software development, and database skills to develop automation and data integrity processes. Melissa holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from VCU and a B.A. in linguistics from UVA. She loves hiking, travel to national parks and public lands, live music, and the James River.
